I'm sorry you're not having the success you were hoping for with Advocare. I don't understand why you were supposed to have more carbs. I guess you've tried the basic calorie cutting plans but if not, that's another possibility.
I lose the most weight with livestrong.com for calorie counting and lots of cardio. Don't give up! On livestrong. Try to get the "daily nutrition breakdown" pie to show %25 fat, %25 protein, and %50 carbs.
